Place a few charcoal briquettes wrapped in paper toweling in the fresh food section and some pure vanilla extract(imitation does not work) on a saucer or in a custard cup as well. The vanilla will absorb odors and give off a pleasant odor of it's own and the charcoal will also absorb odors.

Rust has collected in the water supply line to your ice maker. Don't make things worse by trying to flush the lines or drain them. It will clear up with a little time. Just keep dumping out the ice bin below your ice maker until the ice clears up and doesn't have an oder. Time created your problem and time will fix it. Good luck.

Usually, whenever your store your refrigerator, you are suppose to leave the door open. Try cleaning the fridge with water and baking soda (it might take several cleanings) and don't make ice cubes for a while.

the reason they have a funny taste/odor is because of water stagnating in the lines. what you need to do is find some way to flush the lines out and get them clean. bleach should work you will just need to get it run through the lines.

It probably has some old water in the lines. Keep the container emptied out for a day or so, and it should clear uo.
