Hydrogen peroxide 50 cents a bottle is used for blood stains, no scrubbing needed, it fizzes up on the blood. Rubbing alcohol, 50 cents a bottle is used on grass stains. Both work great.
Where is the need for oxyclean?---spaghetti and tomato sauce stains---it works great.
Wash in cold water, hot water sets stains--especially blood stains.

Eek! Hot water cooks the protein in blood, so cooking it into the fabric. You need to use either the specialist StainDevil for Blood, or my favourite - Astonish Mould and Mildew Remover. It's always at my poundshop and it works wonders (tho open the window, it's powerful stuff). Spray on a couple of times then leave for 10 mins. Repeat as necessary then wash again, the blood should come out as you're watching. It's a powerful mix of Chlorine, Ammonia and Bleach.

I use liquid Tide detergent. I put it on the stain and rub it in good and leave it for a day or two. If it does not come out when you wash it do it one more time. Maybe twice more. It usually works on just about everything for me

There was Clorox, although you couldn't use it on everything. I don't know about grass stains though.
