I always get nervous when I turn on switches while doing the dishes. But I do it anyway. Still I wonder if I could be electrocuted. My house is only 2 years old, so do newer outlets allow for a little water?

I bought 2 cast iron griddles from Macy's (Tools of The Trade). One of them I used, I guess I went wrong somewhere, it started rusting. I have another left - but I didn't expect it to happen this way especially since I tried taking care of it.

I haven't begun using the second one, still new. What's the FIRST thing I should do? What is the correct way of seasoning it?

What do I do after EVERY use? Cleaning tools and tips? Please help, I don't want this gone too!

I recently bought a condo built in 1951. It has a brand new wall heater but the pilot will not stay lit. I think this is because of low pressure caused by a blockage in the gas line. How can the blockage be cleared? Are the pipes to old to fix? I believe replacing the pipes would be very costly because i would need to run new ones ontop of the roof and down through the walls. Any idea how much that would cost? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Is anyone aware of any products that I could attach to the end of steel fish tape (for pulling cable / wire through walls) so that I could determine the location of the tip of the tape through a wall?

We have a curved "L" shaped shower curtain rod that we replaced about 6 months ago because the old one drooped. Now within the last couple of months, the new one is now drooping. Does anyone know how to fix this? We do not have the space or money in that bathroom for a remodel, we just want to have a shower curtain that doesn't droop at the L. Any suggestions will be appreciated!!!

Whenever i shut the faucet in the kitchen, it sounds like the water pipes are banging against a wall. I tried 'bleeding' out the water pipes to remove air, and this helped for a few hours but the noises came back.

We have rats in our attic. I've tried glue traps in a variety of places and different setups; I've also tried poison, but they still seem to be having a party in our walls and above our ceiling at night.
