so daniljo...why are all new build homes built with it and do you not know that the insulation is waterproof and why would the government pay for it to be installed and where do you get your dated info from? how much have you researched your info and how much more are your fuel bills compared with someone who has it installed and how much more damage are you creating to our planet? If you can reply to me and convince me that you are better off without it I will quit my job tomorrow!!

I got loft lagging, cavity wall insulation, central heating with a condensing boiler and double glazing all free from the Stay Warm scheme (government).
Can't get it any better than that.

I would not because the cavity is there for a reason and air can pass through if this is filled water could move from the outer side to the inside not good!

I think that the very fact that you offer the sevice for free is the reason why people refuse. I have learned that in this life, absolutely nothing comes for free, there is always a catch in it somewhere. Or am I just an old cynic?.

Well, the extra interior insulation doesn't make your house anymore energy efficient, it only helps to sound proff the house (between rooms). And you usually have to pay extra to have the insulation put in. I don't know of anyone who got it for free. I do know of people who during house construction have added the insulation themselves to help soundproof bedrooms.

That seems odd. I guess they smell a rat. What do you gain out of it, if you do it for free?
