of coarse it needs to be watered. Trees require alot of water, and they don't produce their own water.

Hard to answer a question that provides little detail. We don't know where you live (your climate) nor what you mean by "medium."
After the first season, a tree is established and needs no further water. Unless you are experiencing a severe drought, a tree will send its roots far and deep in search of water. Trust your tree to find what it needs, and save the water for your annuals and potten plants.

Trees don't provide their own water.Depending on how large the tree is and how long it has been since it last rained you might need to water it.If it is under 5/6 ft tall it wouldn't be a bad idea to water it if you haven't had rain in a month or so.If it is larger then the roots should be large enough to provide for it.Tree's take in water from their roots, and their roots can usually go pretty deep and pretty far to find their own water.

If it is as dry there as it is now in Oklahoma, you need to be watering, or you could lose the tree. We have lots of older trees that have died due to the lack of water. Just take a hose and turn it on to just a trickle, let it run that way for a day or two. Good luck.

It has roots that spread out throughout your yard, maybe into the neighbors yard.
Keep the surrounding lawn well watered and the tree will get what it needs.

Trees do not produce water -- they consume it. Whether you need to water yours depends on the species of tree, the climate, and how much rain you have had recently.
