How do I get my 5 year old son and husband to help out with the cleaning?
I will clean the whole house and not even 10 minutes later it becomes worst than it was before.
I've tryed going on strike but they don't care.
To keep my home looking good I have to clean about 5 times a day or more.
It's driving me crazy because It's too much work for one person and I am getting worn out...

Hi all, this is my first post, so I am hoping someone can give me some good advise here. I live in an old house with a header tank in the loft and a hotwater cylinder in the kitchen on ground floor. The problem I am having at the moment is a re-ocurring hotwater loss. There seems to be airlock in the hotwater pipes. Cold water is always fine. I've had people in with professional pressure hoses from mains outside my house to try and flush it all out. But although it does work for a day or two the problem is back again. So far I've had this done 3 times in a period of about a month and a half.

This whole thing started, as the water company recently did work on pipes outside our house. They said all the pipes had to be replaced as they were old victorial pipes or something. While they were doing this work out on the street, somehow some dirt got flushed into out system, which went all the way to the loft tank and they came to flush it out. Ever since then I've been having this issue.

What can I do when a neighbor dumps their trash onto my property and then when the trash collector doesn't pick it up, won't come back and remove it? The police told me I would have to prove the stuff was theirs (e.g. name on an item in the trash). This person is leaving heavy, large items that obvioulsy would not have a name on it. Other than hiring a private investigator to prove this is happening, what else can I do? I have never been friendly with this person because they don't appear to be stable (mentally). I feel like my hands are tied with this situation. Any legal advice out there about what I can do?

One of the kid's bedrooms is wallpapered. When some rough housing got too rough the paper tore. Instead of telling mom, my child decided to use some white school glue (like Elmer's) on the wall to repair it. Now that I know what happened and removed the wallpaper, the plaster wall underneath has globs of white glue on it that won't chip off.

I've tried heat, doesn't touch it. I've tried scraping, no go.

Would a power sander help? I'd probably have to rent one, but I'm desperate! Help?

The de-humidifier works to an extent but we are poor students with a crap landlord who will not do anything drastic, actually make that anything at all! we have soil and wood lice coming through our bathroom floor, a blue/green mold grows on things that are left either in a cupboard for too long, or are not cleaned regularly enough, eg it appears on furniture, walls etc. is there some kind of cheap temporary prevention such as soaps in the wardrobe or maybe heating the flat, will heat be better than freezing cold?? I can't lose more shoes to the mould monster, please help! oh and by the way, does this sound like an environment from which you would contract bronchitis?!.......

Friend called. No water to house. I know how to check the pressure switch contacts, and power to switch, but how can I check the wiring with an ohmmeter to see if the pump in the ground is burnt out? or the bladder inside the pressure tank? If that ruptured, would that stop the flow to the house? what should the air pressure be inside the tank. I will also check all fuses.

I hate doing laundry with a passion. I am thinking about doing a wash and fold service every now and then and am trying to figure out whether is a mild luxury or outrageous. So I am trying to figure out for two twentysomethings who go through a fairly conservative amount of clothing (will wear jeans, pajamas more than once before washing) how much would a week of laundry weight? Any other insight into the wash and fold world would be appreciated.
