Our kitchen is partially hardwood(old yellowy color) and ceramics where the appliances, sinks and cupboards are. We want to redo the floor all in one type of ceramic, but are hoping to avoid the removal of both if possible. Any thoughts? Thanks

Why do people put gallon jugs of water on their lawn and in their gardens? I've tried to figure this out for years, and everybody gives me a different answer. I'm really curious!

At least I think that is the problem. Stains weren't in the clothes before washing. It is darker spots throughout the clothes. I've had this appear on a few articles within the past few months. It is an apartment building machine I use.
Thanks for your help!

I am planning to buy a semi-detached. It is currently quoted at 260K on rightmove and the agents. Generally what is the markup these sites have. What should be the offer value I should make. My absolute max is 250K (to avoid higher stamp duty)

I live in a small end unit townhome. I want to put a small deck on the 1st floor. I'm great with my hands and tackeled several home improvment projects including installing a front entry door. However, The deck that I'm doing would be small roughly 15ft by 17Ft notthing too big. Is it worth it building it yourself....

Holy smokes I forgot how much ash a fireplace produces! It's time to clean mine out... we've been in our new house for about 6 months now and I haven't lived in a home with wood heat for many years. Growing up my dad always used a metal bucket that he set outside for a while before he dumped it. I don't have a metal bucket, so I haven't had a fire for over 12 hours to make sure there aren't any hot buds in there. I'm just going to use some grocery sacks, etc but I'm wondering what other people use or if you have any tips/tricks?? Thanks!

The house is clean, but the flies are still sticking around and multiplying. They seem to like the bathroom the most, or atleast that is where the greater quantity of them seem to reside.
