I have white cabinets w/ silver pulls, stainless bac splash, stainless sink, and black refridgerator- I have wall paper on top of wall paper- but I want o iltz over it, and paint it, my question is, what color would mesh well with my boring white cabinets, and cold stainless. Im getting some new lanolium (sp?) in wood tone, and I would like an italian flair to it, any advice would be greatly appreciated! thans in advance.

For an italian flair, I would suggest you paint it in a nice olive colour. Get some great olive accessories, stuff in olive tones, muted yellows and some grape accents. You may also want to consider a border with grapes and wine....

How about running some vines along the top of your cabinets. Then place some olive toned ceramics, wine glasses, bottles, etc.

Get some classic glass see through bottles and fill them with diffrerent shapes of pasta as decoration.

Have you given any thought to painting your cabinets. YOu could do a faux finish on them and the wall. It would make them blend in very nicely. I have just built a house and I painted my living room, kitchen, and dining room colors from a wine collection I found at Lowes. I am very pleased at how they turned out. I also did my bath in a Tuscan/Old World look. I painted my cabinets as I suggested to you above in a caramel and vanilla, then I took the caramel and painted my walls. I put travatine down, you can find this in the lanolium. You could also find a marble design in lanolium. My suggestion to you would be look at books and take ideas from them. You could also go online and type in Italian decor. have fun

Red or a yellowish-gold sounds pretty italian to me. You could use grape vines and wine glasses for decoration to soften it up.
