front loading washers use less water, spin at a higher rate of speed, and take less time. using less water and power saves on energy bills, and your clothes will be drier when they come out of the washer, so you will use your drier less as well. because the machine actually pushes the water through the clothes to get the dirt out as opposed to beating the dirt out with an agitator, your clothes will be brighter and last longer

I was like you until recently, couldn't decide between top or front loader. I ended up getting a front loader & haven't looked back. It's a beauty! Washes extremely well & doesn't use much water. It is a 7kg, plenty big enough but I would have preferred a faster spin speed than 800rpm & I do advise getting a machine that measures the amount of water required for the load. I will never go back to a top loader. All the best!!!

i have had both, and i definitely DO NOT find a front loader having an advantage, to begin with the front loader has a smaller capacity, if you need to stop it mid cycle when you open the door the water comes out, it takes twice as long to finish a wash cycle as does a top loader. Choice is simple, top is better for me

Front loader machines take less water during the washing cycle. Also, you can pack them FULL and your clothes will still get cleaned - unlike a top loader.
Front loaders also take less soap...
However, they are a bit more expensive - but they pay off in the long run.

I personally don't really like most front-loaders. But that's just me.
However, you don't have to make sure your load is balanced in a front loader. And it is more easily accessable for a person who is wheelchair-bound. And I have noticed that front-loaders often are able to wash larger loads than a similar-sized top-loader.

Bigger load with less water. However, I have a friend who has the top of the line front loader and says the churning action doesn't get her clothes clean enough.

In front loading washers, you can wash bigger loads with less detergent and less water. Front loading washers cost more up front to purchase, but they save you money in the long run....I don't have a front loading washer, (I wish I did) However, my mother has had one for 10 years or more, and wouldn't use anything else. Hope this helps!

I have found that I use less water and soap. The water seems to flow through the clothes vs the clothes sitting in dirty water. More energy efficient. most of the time will take bigger loads

They use less soap, generally have a higher capacity, don't unballance, extract more water so the dryer doesn't have to work so hard, are easier to load and unload, and if your computer crashes, you have something to watch.
