My garbage disposal is stuck and won't turn, becuase it has rusted too much. Unable to turn. It still has power, just the blades are stuck by the rust.

I'd seriously consider replacing the garbage disposal. If you remove the rust, the rust will just come back and you will have the same problem all over again. I'd rather fix it right the first time.

there is a large nut on the bottom that screws onto the basket holding up the disposal. take that nut off and the disposal should pull right off there. I'd replace the basket as well. If you don't like your sink, just replace the whole thing pulling the disposal out with it.

Since it rusted, I'd replace it with a unit that has a stainless steel grinding chamber. The bigger the horsepower the better. I have a 3/4 horsepower one, I should have gone for the one horse model.

The answer to everything is WD 40. Just don't get a flame near it.
