i am bored. Twiddling thumbs doesn't work. Playing with hair gets it messy. All my friends are off somewhere in Bali or Shanghai or Perth. I am not going to read the dictionary, count how many buttons I have etc.

you could play video games, go on the computer, go shopping, see a movie, go to the mall, read a book, watch TV, ride a bike, climb a mountain, go hiking, take a walk (and meet new people in the neighborhood) go for a jog, draw, paint, write... the list is endless.

grow up and get on with it. go swimming join a group or go shopping. do anything but think about your friends and where they might be.
