I am starting to see more spiders in my house (clean state so it's not because it's messy)!!
Do you know what can I buy from supermarkets or anywhere that can repel them?
As I do not want to squash them on my white walls :P

Is anyone able to recommend some sort of hardy plants for the zone 9 area........am having a hard time keeping a lot of plants alive due to the extreme heat and soil conditions.

I currently have a few desert rose plants, a sage palm and some desert grass that IS still living.

Also any books or sites that you could recommend would be great

thanks in advance

I have steam heating with radiators and I have 4 rooms downstairs and a bathroom and two small bedrooms upstairs. I have two medium sized radiators and one small radiator downstairs and two medium ones upstairs. I think there was one extra one down stairs but the previous tenant removed one of the rooms. I am thinking about removing another one upstairs because it gets to hot up there and it feels like overkill. My question is can i remove it and everything will be fine and put it downstairs where the other one was. Sorry so confusing.

I just got a sewing machine and its been a while since I have sewn. Any websites that have free sewing help and has free patterns and such? I am not really a beginner I just need to get back into the swing of things. I basically want websites with free patterns and ideas (i.e. clothes, purses etc.) Plus I have a problem with measuring, I know most patterns have sizes, but how do I make it fit me well?

Our neighbors say they saw a groundhog digging in our pond, is it possible for the groundhog to dig a hole that will make the pond leak? And if so, how do you fix the hole?

I have a blank wall in family. The room is painted flat plum. I have a rather large behind loveseat that is blank. I need something funky to put on this wall to brighten it up. Don't want painting or mirror or clock...any suggestions?

My family and I are currently looking to flip a house.. obviously not looking to make a HUGE profit on the first but between us we have plenty of experience and even if we paid the list price we are likely to make pretty good money on it. It seems to only need cosmetic work, but is it worth it in the long run? If you want to take a look at it it's listed by coldwell banker... my family is positive it will work. I'm not so sure...

Located right around the corner from West High School, this home has great potential. The loft is partially divided and could serve as a third bedroom. The 'other' room is a large back entry with plenty of storage. There is a lot of room here! Property is a foreclosure and is being sold in 'as is' condition.

I'm in UK by the way. Normally the bush only flowers in early spring (April/May) but here we are deep into autumn and there are yellow flowers appearing. I'm not complaining but isn't this somewhat strange?

My central air unit has frost on the outside and inside. I just started using it for heat this weekend. It's not ice just frost. Any suggestions on what needs to be done to it. It worked fine during the summer for air and last winter.
