I just got a sewing machine and its been a while since I have sewn. Any websites that have free sewing help and has free patterns and such? I am not really a beginner I just need to get back into the swing of things. I basically want websites with free patterns and ideas (i.e. clothes, purses etc.) Plus I have a problem with measuring, I know most patterns have sizes, but how do I make it fit me well?

Congrats, what a fun hobby. Personally I would start simple like straight stitch a table cover or oven mitts just to get back in the feel. There are some really great site out there I listed a couple below, also my favorite "Clone yourself" It teaches how to make a dress dummy for the perfect fit every time :).

Well, I sew all the time and rather than a website, I would recomend you go to the bookstore and buy some pattern making and sewing books or magazines. You get such beautiful ideas and you dont have to squint to look at the instructions. They also have pull out sized up patterns that you can use. I would recomend the 'sew beautiful' magazine.
