If they made of good craftsmanship, atleast 20+, always need to refurbish, seal and paint it regularly to prevent rust and leaks.

I don't think that there is an expiration date for your tank. The only thing that may need to be updated is the regulator and shutoffs in your house & of course, paint it once in awhile. I just had a different tank put in (changed providers) & the tank was made in 1995.

every tank has a stamped date listed on the outside of the tank , simply go check it out,

about the only thing that's going to get you is rust out, keep it painted & it will out live you, even if your young!
