I bought candles from a vendor in a little town called Bernadotte a couple of years ago when I went to Spoon River in Illinois. I had the woman's business card with her website but must have lost it during the move. Does anyone know where I can find her? She makes the most amazing candles.

everything acts normal, except that there isn't enough water in the bowl. it fills like it should, but after the water quits running in the tank, then the water level slowly goes down.

Our house was built in the 50's and the basboards are horrible. I thought that like most houses, you take the old ones off and replace with new ones. Sadly mistaken. The carpet butts up against the baseboards. and the BB are sitting on the hardwood flooring under the carpet. If I put the new BB in the same spot there is a huge gap to were the carpet and new BB meet. Should I get another piece of trim and build up a little and then put the new BB on top of that??? I truely need someones help that has dealt with this.

I have joined copper and cpvc pipes using a brass (I think it's brass) compression fitting. On the cpvc side, I used an insert to keep the pipe from crushing. There are no leaks, but I'm worried about it. Will it hold up?

My bedroom is a sqare, the only outside wall with windows has a coved ceiling. the cuve ends just a few inches above the windows. The ceiling and walls are all white. How do I paint that wall with the windows, without the wall ending up looking very short as I would stop painting at the curve? Unless I paint that 1 wall and the ceiling all 1 color and the other 3 walls a different color. I didn't want to paint the ceiling but I don't think I can get away with NOT painting it. I want to use sage greens, burgandys, golds, and dark blues in my color sceam for the room. So what color should I put on the ceiling if I paint it? A lighter color then the other 3 walls or darker? Or should I stay with a nutral beige or warm tan/brown?

I got a new open fire installed a few years ago. I only light a fire at the weekends in the winter. I have had to replace the grate twice already as it has become warped and cracked. The back of the fire is really bad too. Many cracks in it. I have repaired it several times with fire clay but now the chimney sweep says I need a new back fitted. Can anyone explain why it's so bad. Is it a dud back and grate and if so can you recommend a good manufacturer. I burn a mixture of coal and timber logs. Occasionally burn peat when I can get it too.
