I have joined copper and cpvc pipes using a brass (I think it's brass) compression fitting. On the cpvc side, I used an insert to keep the pipe from crushing. There are no leaks, but I'm worried about it. Will it hold up?

As far as I know.. you should of used a compression ring on the pipe.. I always do..thats why you use an insert.. its to give the ring something to grip to without crushing the pipe. So I would say you have nothing to worry about

It depends on what pressure your running at and how well the cpvc is anchored before the compression fitting. It wouldn't be my first choice as a joint between the two materails, but it could work out fine.
