Why don't you do as I did. I stuck some 3cm wide x 1cm deep plastic strips around the bath with sealant (the sort used for double glazing). I then sealed it at the top and bottom with tile grout. It is still clean after years of being in place. You could use quadrant shape instead (curved front, v-shaped back). Looks much nicer and lasts longer than sealant.

Not a direct answer....but you'd be better off curing the humidity causing the mould.

It sounds like the bathroom is staying damp many hours after the bath/shower.

Perhaps improve the heat and ventilation in there. It will stop degradation elsewhere, as well as the sealant.

Use a silicone sealant labled KITCHEN AND BATH. Even then you may get mold but it is the soap residue that is molding, not the calk. To remove this mold pour chlorine bleach on a rag and lay the rag where the mold is. In about a half hour the mold will be gone.

As other answers said, it all goes mouldy if left wet, however if you get it when it starts and blast it with a steam cleaner if definitely stops it in its tracks - did that in the spring and it has not grown back yet...

You need to keep it clean and use caulking with silicone. All silicone is really the best, we don't have that problem where I have used the all silicone products. When you use your scrubbing bubbles be sure to clean the caulked areas too.
