I planted a young flowering crab apple tree about a month ago and although it seems to be generally happy, I have just noticed that its trunk has developed a powdery green covering and also, there are a few holes in the leaves. Is this ok and should I treat it with anything?

Bedskirt is chocolate brown with brown suede roman shades on window. Should I go pale yellow, gold, light green or sage green. Furniture is walnut.
Thanks

I'd totally prefer a shower door, but I've got a window frame that encroaches into my tub a couple inches and without big $$$ spent redoing the wall, changing the window, stucco outside, etc. etc. etc. I can't have a shower door by the looks of it.

Anyway... problem is that with this window frame where it is we have to put the shower rod ABOVE it (or it just falls down because of the ridges in the window frame.) Putting it above though makes the shower curtain WAY too short at the bottom. (Barely touches the tub.)

My Dad told me about this curved shower curtain rod made by Moen that he heard about. I found one at Home Depot for $30 and we haven't hung it up yet, but it sounds like this might solve my problem...

Looking at it though I'm worried that the centre of gravity on it might be in a wacky place and that it might want to sag in the middle...

Before I hang it has anyone used one?
Are you happy with it?

Thanks for your help!!

I'm doing a plant book, and finding China-originating plants isn't as easy as it seems. I need 2 plants/division, and I already have flowering plants, conifers, ginkgoes, and 1 fern. Can you help me find more?

My water heater is 12 years old and I want to get a new one. Someone recommended a tankless gas water heater and said it is more efficient and more economical. I don't know a thing about it. Is it a good idea to get this? There are 2 adults and no children in the household. Please help. Thanks.

I'm thinking it requires a bit of stealth. I wanna "transplant" the little bugger without hurting him and I caught a young one with a fishing net a few years back but this guy is a biggin'

Our CC&RS state that each homeowner is responsible for the maintanance of their plumbing and sewage that services their home even if some of these pipes are in the common area. The HOA also in many occassions has stated that they own the trees in the common area and no one can trim them or chop them down. My sewage line was intact and the tree roots that grew on top and below it eventually starting growing inside the pipe by going in through the seam between the cast iron pipe and the clay pipe. The plumbers had to break the pipe to replace it. My HOA is claiming that trees do what trees do and since we are responsible for the maintanance of the sewage we are out of luck. And they refuse to take the trees down. The HOA is citing both the CC&Rs and the California Penal code to deny our claim- both state that homeowners are responsible for their sewage line maintance. Since it is very broad, does maintance also include damage by the HOA trees. Should I sue in smaill claims?

I once worked in a restaurant where they wouldn't let us smoosh roaches because it would cause more roaches to be born from the eggs that were then crushed into the floor. Spraying them was better because it killed the roaches and the eggs. I'm just wondering if that was an urban legend, or if it is true.....

What does it mean if 120v/240v is printed on a circuit breaker? Does it mean that the breaker can provide either level of voltage?

If 120v/240v is printed on an appliance, does that mean it can run on either voltage, or that it requires both voltages?
