the pipe coming from the wall to attach to the shower head doesn't have any threads to screw on a shower head, it has a ball on the end..making it basically impossible to keep the shower head attached. i am not sure how its held on this long. but now when i turn the water on in the shower, the shower head basically flies off at me. funny...but not fun. i can see about an inch in from the wall that i can unscrew the pipe and attach a new one..but i am not sure what to expect when i do that, and what to know when i go to buy the pipe..suggestions?

have one six inch duct that runs to my family room. There is only on register in that room and I want to add another inline before the existing box. I'm adding a 6"x4" register box. What type of connector should I use to tap into the 6" duct? Does it matter if I use a saddle or a 'Y'?

I put the chain back on but I cannot get the chain to turn. I tried loosening the tension, that did not work. The wheel turns without the chain. What should I try next.
Thanks.

This is an old rotary dial phone and I would like to get it looking good, the pink under the receiver where it is always covered is nice, but the rest has a darkened "off" color. I have cleaned it well, and I made a small scratch in the discolored area to see if the nice color was still in there, it is. Does anyone know how to get the nice "new" color back?

Went to start lawn mower and would not start and I could hear a pop. Pulled valve cover and rocker arm just hanging, with adjusting nut all the way down it will not put pressure on push rod. I have not torn it down yet. If I hold the rocker in position, and rotate engine, I can feel the lobe
on the cam. Does this engine have a standard type of lifter? Since I can feel the cam, I thought maybe a bad lifter may be the problem.

I've looked in places like Lowe's, Home Depot, etc, with no luck (carry only standard sizes). Looked online with disbelief how hard it is to find metric stainless compression fittings and stainless waterline for my pullout kitchen faucet. (European made).

The size I'm looking for is a little bit bigger than a 3/8" compression fitting. (Not sure what that would be). I already have a 60" waterline currently, but if I could either get the same configuration waterline except it needs to be 9' minimum or I could couple my 60" waterline with another 60" hose would be fine also. But the stainless hose fittings HAVE to be metric.

My goal is to have minimum 9' stainless flexible stainless waterline so I could reach the stove when I need it. (Not lazy....efficient!) Any onsite store or a phone number of a place that sells metric stainless fittings will be of great assistance. Help!! Thanks!

There's a tendency that only white ppl do that because 99 times out of 100 i' d see that being done by a white.
Totally not being racist but just wanted to know how this habit came to....

Personally i wash my dishes by hand, scrub clean, washing up liquid, rinse leave to dry....

But i have seen in commercials and in ppls houses but often dont ask because it might offend them....they'd simply scrub off the food soak in soapy water and leave it to dry with foam still on the plates.....

Personally i thinki its unhygienic to wash it like that....Better to rinse them off......
