Hi, this was my first year growing pumpkins and it has not gone well! Despite many many flowers, I only have 2 pumpkins. There were at least 8 that got to the size of a plum before turning brown/ yellow and falling off. Why is this? They were watered through the hot june/ july and august was so wet I didnt need to water. I thought maybe more would appear september time, but no more to be seen. Where did I go wrong?

ok so me and a friend were laying flooring in the attic and we didnt hit any wires that I know of but now the aircondition only blows hot air.

The only thing that we touched as of the air was picking up one of those silver round vent things, that route the air around the house, so we could slide the wood past it.

When we came down during the day we smelled a burning smell as if we had turned the heater on for the first time and since we just moved in it would smell like that if we turned on the heater.

But so we had it set at 65 on cool and only warm air is being blowed. I went up there and the system is cold and the outside unit is spinning like crazy.

So what the hell is the problem...please someone help with this...not having an aircondition in South Louisiana sucks big time.

so thats basically all I can think of...does anyone have any idea what to do??

My friend set a dish on my countertop and I did not realize it was dripping with olive oil and lemon juice on the bottom so it sat there while we ate dinner. STAINED.

I took Dawn dishsoap and rubbed it on. soaked a dish cloth in super hot water and let it sit. I alternated this for a while. usually this gets my oil stains out. Lemon Juice is another story. No experience with this. ANY IDEAS OUT THERE???

Thanks.

Do you think that the Do-It-Yourself boom is taking work away from tradespersons? Like carpenters, electritians, plumbers.. etc? It seems that everyone is doing everything themselves, and that when you buy something like.. kitchen cabinets, they come with instructions for you to do it.. and not hire a professional like you used to do.

Just wondering.

Is it hard to wire a house? I went through voc school back when I was learning a trade. And I've watched hours of My Old House with Steve and I figured that I could wire it as good as anybody. Maybe I could get a book somewhere to show me, just to make sure I don't blow a fuse. I thought I could save money if I wired it all myself. Can I do this?

3 air vents in a certain region of my house emit a terrible (musty, moldy) odor every time my AC kicks on. I've looked in my attic to inspect the air handler and duct work. Everything appears fine as far as I can tell (no obvious mold or mildew, no holes with a dead mouse in it, no intake problem, new filter, etc.), and I don't want to rip out all my air ducts without having some kind of idea as to what might be causing it. Any thoughts?
