If the clothes feel plenty warm, but stay very damp and the dryer runs a long time with no results, it is most likely that you vent needs cleaned. This can be done by you if you are handy and buy a vent cleaning kit at Home Depot or similar.....

Makes a world of difference and the dryer will dry alot quicker, saving you money! $$$

The first things to check are that you have good air flow.
- Check the lint trap to make sure it isn't full
- Check the vent to see if there is buildup
- Check that there aren't clothes or dirt under the dryer, these might block the intake.
- If your laundry room is a small room, make sure you leave the door open

Are the clothes getting warm/hot at all? If not, the heating element or thermostat might be burned out. Call a repair man.

Is it gas or electric. If gas the flu is also the dryer vent make sure it is free of lint and pay extra attention to the louvers at the side of the house as they like to collect lint.I blow mine out once a year with air and it is amazing how much lint collects. This is a pretty easy diy job with a small vac.

if you use dryer softener sheets ex. bounce etc. the lint screen will plug with a clear closed film, to see it just 1 remove all lint,2run water onto the screen, it will most likely stand without draining. remedy use soap and water with a small brush lightly scrub screen & rinse. water should now pass through screen.
shake dry and you should be all set :)

Your heater may need to be replaced. Or there is too much lint build up in the out-take vent.
