I need torqe? not sure if i spelled that right, eavsement and bseline. Are these expensive and if I am being charged $1700.00 for labor on a 2100 square foot home is this a deal? thanks

I would suggest getting a few estimates, but don't neccessarily go with the cheapest. See what the estimate is with materials included , which most contractors should offer, as they usually make some profit on materials. Check your local Home Depot or other hardware store for prices (they should be able to give you an idea over the phone) .

I have no idea as to what torqe (torque) has to do with roofing. Thats the first time i've ever hear of that term. It normally applies to the ammount of pressure applied to a nut on a bolt to meet certain strength specifications. Unless the contractors are bolting the roof to the structure, I don't see where torque would come into play. Use the below web link to help with cost and explination of materials involved.

Most importantly, make sure your contractor is licensed. Request to see the license. If he cannot produce it, then he is not a legitimate contractor.

$1700 is about average for a 2100 SqFt structure.
