Lawnmower carbs are notorious for a problem with internal valves on the fuel tube . There is a small check ball with a spring behind it. The ball and spring will rust if the fuel evaporates and condensation gets to it. if this happens it will stop the flow of gas but start when you pour fuel directly into the carb. You can pull the carb carefully and use a needle and try to unstick the ball. you will see the rust on it if it has it. If that doesn't work you can try rust removers such as CLR i also was told the cleaner "The Works" will do.If you can't free the ball and remove the rust a new carb will be the only solution. Ebay is a great place to purchase good used parts. But look at their feed backs carefully.I never buy from anyone who has a rating of less than 97% . good luck!

I doubt if there is a filter inthe tank, the filter will be in line from the tank to the carb. I would replace all the fuel line and put in a new filter. You might have to adjust your carb to get things running right.

Is there alittle bulb you need to pump to get the gas into the Carb? I know we have one on our mower. Look in your owners manual and trouble shot the problem from there! Also try to look up the mower on-line and see if you can email the company with help. Good Luck!

the fuel actually gets suck into the carb so it sounds like your fuel line is clogged that's easy enough to fix simply by pulling it off and clearing the obstruction (remember to dump the fuel first) but if that ain't the problem than your carb is probably shot

my lawnmower wouldn't start at all due 2 the connection.. following the black cord from handle down 2 the outside casing, there is a little tag that touches the mower, 2 make contact, wasn't touching at all.. needed 2 be bent a little.. maybe check that..

it's gravity feed. the tank is above the carb. could be gunk in the tank or the line.
