I would like to buy a sewing machine for simple clothing construction - mostly skirts and dresses - and don't want to spend more than $100-$150. Can you recommend a basic model that is of good quality? I don't need fancy stitching, computerized embroidery, or any of that stuff.

to find even one of them ! They must be fantastic escape artists cause, I released 300 of them ! I want to get more but, were do I find ladybug food to entice them to stay ? I already have housing for them ~ in different areas of my garden. I live in south Florida so they should last and lay eggs. So where do I buy ladybug food ? I think that they ate all they could and just found ways to get out .

I was showering with the bathroom door open. My house was a bit cool. The smoke detector right outside the bathroom door started screaming midway through my shower (It had never gone off before). I didn't smell or see any smoke. Could it have possibly been from STEAM?

Wondering what the cost should be for landscape work on a New Jersey property that's just shy of a 1/4 of an acre? It's on a slight hill, needs the lawn cut, a good amount of hedge trimming, and cutting back of a few trees, etc. What's the average a landscaper should charge?

Not sure why, but my sink smells bad. I don't have a garbage disposer, just a regular kitchen sink. I am looking for a deodorizer to pour down it to eliminate odor. Thanks so much!

I know it's an older house. The people we bought it from said it was haunted. I'm not superstitious, but I am curious.

I just bought a new house. The Idiots who painted it painted the windows shut. I've been using a utility knife, a flexible paring knife & a hammer. Since I'm not into masochism or blood loss is there an easier way of doing this? I have three floors in this house. Does anybody have any ideas?

But before you start listing things you don't like about the world and life, pretend you've regurgitated the fruit from the tree of good and evil. So now you don't see things as good or evil, they just are. Life.

Life everywhere. Living, dying, doing it's thing. Like in a forest.

If one sees the world that way, could they already be in the Garden of Eden, having never left in the first place?

I like the Brazilian Cherry (2360) and The Camaru (3540) or Barzilian Teak. We want select grade and pre-finished.

Are either of these sufficient for two 20 pound beagles? We have 330 square foot (need 360 w/ waste) and I am thinking I want to put on stair treads (5). Looked at www.lumberliquidators.com and found decent price of $3.83/sq for the brazilian cherry and $4.35 for the Brazilian Teak. the dimensions are 3/4"x2 1/4" pre-finished, select grade.

Any suggestions for cheaper alternatives. Want real wood.

Thanks!
