My husband did't know that my favorite cast iron skillet was in the oven waiting to be cleaned. He turned on the oven to take the chill off of the house one morning. Anyway, now everything is baked onto the skillet. I can't seem to get it off. Any suggestions on how to the baked stuff off of my favorite pan? I've tried boiling it out. Some of it has come out. Just not what has been baked onto the bottom.

I have a rolling desk chair that I need to take apart. One of the screws in it, however, has a worn-out head that I cannot unscrew.

I tried drilling into it, but even after 10 minutes of drilling, I only got about a millimeter into the head. I even tried to use a hammer and flat-head screwdriver to try and "carve" a new head on the screw, but that didn't work (the screw wasn't even dented).

Anyone know how I can remove this stubborn screw?

My neighbor overwaters his yard, and as a consequence, the water floods part of my yard, which is dirt. The dirt gets moldy and smelly when it's real hot, like in summer, and when it's not real hot the ground just gets really mushy and you can't walk around. I've asked the neighbor to stop watering so much, which has made him really angry so he won't have anything to do with me. How can I get rid of the water inexpensively?

Children had fun with a regular Bic blue pen on armrest. I tried a little of non-acetone nail polish remover but it only caused some of the brown color to come off. I also heard hairspray but I am not sure which kind, i.e holding, sheen.

At this point, I am desperate!!

Please help...

I am not sure if these bees are honeybees or what but they have nested there and bore down into the ground so I have no idea how big the nests actually are. I got stung mowing the grass today because I stepped on the nest not realizing it was there and about 100 bees swarmed out of the nest. They look like yellow jackets.

Does anyone know of a simple easy to follow book or something with simple lanscaping designs that I can use to fix my front / back yards? Everytime I go to the nursery at Lowes / HomeDepot, I get overwhelmed and walk out with nothing. I need some simple ideas. Suggestions?

I watched an episode of the Simple Life a while back, and they were with a Pakistani family. They showed a little of the master bedroom, and I REALLY loved the decor. There was different colored fabric covering half of the bedroom (kind of like a canopy). Does any one know where I might be able to find a picture of somthing similar?

I know this is dumb but I just want to do it right...and there is also a border on the wall right now. Should I remove that first, or paint over the old border, or put the new border over the old border? lol... this is silly but I was just curious on what everyone thought. Thank you and hope everyone has a great day!!!

I am trying to install a GFI in my bathroom but it keeps popping. I have narrowed the problem down to the high hats. I think the switch for the high hats is installed on the neutral, but I am not sure. When I hook up the wires for the high hats, the gfi pops. I have checked all the outlets for reversed wires. I can not get to the wires on the high hats. Is this dangerous?

My hallway has 5 recessed can lights each with a 75watt bulb operated on the same switch. I would like to install a 5-bulb halogen track light in the middle of the hallway to illuminate wall art. Can I remove the bulb and insert from the middle cannister fixture, cut the wires to the bulb receptacle and use the same wires to power up the track light. The track light with 5 bulbs will consume 150 watts through a low voltage transformer. Is this safe? The cannister light sticker says 75-watts maximum.
