If the power to both the computer and the microwave is properly grounded and polarized there should be no interference. A microwave oven operates on radio frequencies (nothing to do with radioactivity or nuclear power) and the signal is filtered to ground. If the electrical outlet that it is plugged into is not properly grounded errant (radio frequency) signals can be emitted. If the computer is not properly grounded through the power cord it could receive these errant signals through the electronics of the circuit boards and the logic circuits can be disrupted and cause havoc with running the programs.

If the microwave wasn't properly shielded on the inside (so the radiation doesn't leak) yes....also if the circuits aren't insulated well enough from the power source, you could get backwash going into the wires of the house or the circuit that that plug is on.
This really shouldn't happen, though, except on really poorly made, cheap electronics.

the reason she is incorrect is that the microwave is shielded as a thank you to maintain remote from microwaves from escaping the significant chamber and the laptop is shielded by using ability of the steel interior the laptop. there is likewise the very trouble-free actuality that microwaves do no longer intervene with the magnetic recordings on the perplexing stress. if it somewhat is below an afternoon previous (23 hours?) she might desire to take it draw back to the area who presented it to her because of the fact it maintains to be below assure.

I don't believe so, but if you have wireless internet, that may affect it somewhat. I know mobile phones can be affected by microwaves, depending on the frequency of the mobile phone.

No, at least not if its a good, shielded Microwave complaint with pursuant regulations.
If it leaks MW, it may affect your wireless Internet.

Yes...firing microwave radiation at a computer would be the equivilent of hitting it with the Electro-Magnetic Pulse from a nuclear bomb detonation.

I think it's a possibility - seems to me that there are some things we're not supposed to put too near the computer...
I wonder if 5 feet is supposed to be a "safe" distance?
