I think a plug in air freshener was left on the table and it has leaked, i wiped the area with a warm damp cloth, i have been left with a small area back down to the wood. Other than stripping it and refinishing it, do you have any other idea's? Waxed over 20years with bee's wax. Stands out like a sore thumb! I would be grateful for any suggestions, my mother-in-law comes back on sunday!

We are having trouble obtaining planning permission because the council are saying that all of the properties on our "block" are bungalows. But the majority have added significant rooms and dormers upstairs and so they are two storey. But are they therefore still bungalows using the generally accepted definition?

Thanks

I have a severe subsidence problem. My neighbours who back onto my house have quite a few large trees. This has been going on for a few years where my insurance company have been coming in and taking measurements of the cracks, tree root samples, ect. The tree roots can now be found at the front of my house. They have written to my neighbour several times, but haven’t received a reply.
The only solution I can think of is to kill the trees. How would I do this considering I can’t go into their garden?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Has any one succeeded in getting planning permission for the erection of a 2 metre fence and gate between their property and the road when other properties in the area are left open, in the Cheshire area? If so, on what grounds was it awarded?

Please help.

We four girls live together and none of us is good at DIY stuffs. Recently we found out the garage door opens automatically during the midnight or early morning while everyone is inside the house and not touching the remote control at all. This happened 3 times in a month and freaked us out. The garage door and the whole thing are 10 years old. Would there be some neighboors just have same frequency on the remote control to affect our door or it is time we have to change the garage opener and remote control?
How much will this cost? Please give me simple and clear answer, thanks so much!!
