Depending on the houses around it or the landscape you could go with anything really but if you want to sort of stay neutral go with white trim and beige for the house. But you really could use something better and catch the eye of the people coming to see your house. Some schemes I like are yellow for main part, hunter green for doors and shutters and white for other trim, you could also use burgundy for other trim instead of white or instead of the green.
I saw a mint green with sort of a deep red for the trim that looked cool... Whatever you do dont use two shades of the same color like light blue for the house and dark blue for the trim that looks cheap for some reason to me.
Drive around and look at houses in other areas and when one catches your eye copy it. Take some paint chips and ask the homeowner if they dont mind you matching them to their house.

Whatever colour you choose, when trying to sell the house, has to give an impression of cleanliness, this is why it has to be a light colour. If it were red, blue, green, black etc, it could put off a potential buyer.
Play very very safe. White, which you don't want, soft yellow, or cream are good. Anything else is a bit risky. The same goes for the interior of the house - safe, clean colours only. After all, you want to sell the place as quickly as possible.
Hope this helps.

My sister, who has been a real estate agent for 15 or so years told me that yellow is always the color you should paint your home if you want to sell it fast. And its true, because all of the home's in my neighborhood were on the market for a long time. the one's that painted their homes yellow almost sold immediately. It was a trip! Hope this helps ya.

Check other houses in your neighborhood and find a complimentary color. Whatever you do, don't select one that stands out TOO much. That's a big turnoff for a prospective buyer. And you can never go wrong with a neutral in any tone. Good Luck!

YELLOW, but not just any yellow!
It must be on the warm side and not too bright.
Your roof color will also make a difference!
