Dont saturate them. The roots will rot. just keep the soil/compost moist. Some plants do recover.

My plants thrive on neglect.. so just go back to watering them once a week if they need it and they should come out of it.. To much water does more damage than being dry.. as they draw some moisture from the humidity in the air also.. You may want to change the potting soil in the pots or if they have grown alot even trim the roots before replanting if they are circling in the pot.. means they are root bound.
Just gently breaking the roots apart a little bit..and cutting the thick tangled root so that they can spread out again.. becareful doing this not to cut to much off. if you have more questions you can contact me.. freemansfreeman@yahoo.com

You're doing the right thing, do it every day if you can provided they're free draining and won't become water-logged.
Keep trying, but don't be surprised if they don't recover. They may already be dead.
If they don't start looking better within about a week, throw them out (well, compost them) as the root ball will start to rot and stink.
This depends what kind of plants they are of course. If they're 'bush herbs' they should recover fully within a couple of days.

If you can, put some water in the bath and leave them in it for a day, even a few hours will help., you could put a little feed into the water. The water is not doing any good if it keeps draining out as the compost will not be absorbing it.
then take them out and let them drain the surplus water off and with luck they will be okay.

It depends what type of plants your talking about. Also consider the time of season. But cut off any dead looking leaves etc. Also only water when the soil is looking dry. You don't want to drown them. Are the plants in the ground or in a pot? If they are in a pot the roots might not have enough room to grow, so re pot to a bigger pot if that's the case. Need more details to give you better advice.

I rescued one of my mum's plants after it had been neglected while she was in hospital. Made sure i watered but not too much, wiped dust on leaves and sprayed water on them. I did it for a week, and it started to improve. That was 12 years sgo, mum died 6 years ago and as i write this ... Her plant has turned from a dying plant to practically a tree! So healthy!!! Hope you save your plant.
Best wishes

I would repot all of them and give them a good water under the tap. Remove any dead leaves first though. Water twice a week in summer and once a week in winter. Just enough water to fill the plant dish at bottom of plant. Baby bio added to water may help to revive them too. good luck.

Your plants need to aerated. Use a screwdriver, pencil, knife, whatever and poke holes in the soil. You won't hurt anything. Then water. The holes allow the water to penetrate the soil instead of running off around the dried soil ball where it has pulled away from the sides of the pots. After, water as normal. good luck

12" pot = 2 cups of (room temp ) water.
6" pot = 1 cup (room temp).
pour water into very dry soil. then remove ALL dead leaves, stems, and flowers by cutting them near the base. make sure they get plenty of light. you can even try using a grow light on them during the day, but make sure you give the plant plenty of time to sleep. set the timer to go on at about 7am and turn off at about 6pm. Hope this helps you!

Once you notice the surface of the soil drying up, it is then safe enough to water them again. But not every two days.
