If it is available where you live, buy some 20 Mule Team Borax laundry soap, put it in a squeeze bottle like one of the ketchup bottles, apply the dry powder around baseboards, cabinets, under sinks and vanities around plumbing, anywhere you see the ants. Leave it lay for several days until you no longer see signs of the ants, vacuum up the excess laundry soap and use the rest to do laundry with.....hope the laundry soap is available where you live because this really works, I have been using this remedy for years.

My sister lives in Leanyer and I can't recall her saying she had an ant problem. I would say that it has everything to do with the season as I experience the same thing at certain times of the year - I live a little further south from you in the Pilbara of W.A. I make sure that I keep the kitchen free of foodstuffs and crumbs as it doesn't take much for the little critters to invade for a free feed. Have a chat to your neighbours and see if they are experiencing the same problem. Good luck in your quest to rid them from your home and enjoy the wet!!!

The first thing to do is try to figure out where the little brats are coming in. Spray the area. Then buy an insect bomb and set it off. If this doe not take care of the ants, call an exterminator.

I have used Borax also, but I add powered sugar to it and add a little water to make a paste then put small amounts in bottle caps or small lids and place around the area. But do not put it where your pets can get to it. It really works! I have noticed within 24 hours there are no ants to be found!
