the easiest method is to use a pencil, a thumbtack, and a piece of string.
Tie the string to both, put the tack in the wall, and use the pencil to trace a perfect circle. Shorten or lengthen the string as necessary.

If you want polka dots use a tennis ball. Dip it in paint, wipe off excess and hit the wall with it. If you don't wipe excess off you also get the splatter design. Want bigger dots use a soccer or basketball. Make sure you put plastic up on other wall corners. The harder you hit, the bigger the spot. or use a sponge, the big round uneven kind and dab it on the walls with the color paint you want or colors. This is assuming the rest of the room(furniture) is empty or covered

arts and crafts stores always have stencils or you can make your own. I don't know how big you want your polka dots but you can always dip a tennis ball into paint and use that. Tap a small part of the ball in the paint and then tap that same part on your wall carefully and itshould create a small circle.

Get a piece of clear plastic, around 30 mils. The sheet should be at least 2 feet by 2 feet. Layoutyour dotson the sheet, cut them out, and the go around the room painting the dots. You can add variations by simply rotating the stencil every time. Hope this helps!

Cut out 3 sponges in a perfect circle, using different sized glasses and exacto knife. If you want different colored paints then you will need to have multiple sponges for each color you want.
Now dip and push in the respective paint color that you want.
In about 2 hours you will have a nice pocka-dotted room! Hope this helps.

You can purchase wall stickers that are very easy to apply and remove. Blik Surface Graphics, for example, makes 11-1/2" diameter circle stickers that come in a variety of cool colors:
snow
cotton candy
classic red
graphite
tangerine
sky
cocoa
The stickers are sold 6/pk for $32.00, although if you shop around you might be able to get a better price.
Good luck, and for more information, check out...

Easy. Tie a pencil onto a piece of string. Make a loop on the other end. Stick a small nail in the wall where the center of the circle should be, hook the loop on the nail and draw around to make your circle. You can shorten or lengthen as much as you want. Just use different string. The way to do it without paint is do the instructions above but do it on poster board, any colors, and just cut them out and glue on the wall. Pretty easy.

it depends on what you do if you are doing small dots get a compass and make a drawing and use that as a stencil. but if you are doing big dots you have to go to a copy place(i forget what one is called) and ask them to make you a copy of a big dot and cut that out and use that as a stencil
