It's a decent sized hole, and I need a link to a website with pictures and instructions on how to plaster and fill in the hole..

Thanks

There is a patch kit. You'll need one that is bigger than the hole. Get spackle, sand paper and a spreader. There are directions on the patch package.

I used this to patch a hole that my daughter kicked in the wall.

Good Job fixing it yourself!

I can't give you a link to a picture, but I can tell you how to do it. I assume your hole is in drywall? You will need a piece of drywall to do the repair, if the hole is large. To find out what size drywall to get, take a measuring tape and put it inside the opening where you can measure the depth of the drywall in your wall. It comes in different thicknesses, and isn't very expensive. Find it at Home Depot or Lowe's or that type of store. First, cut around the hole, making a square or rectangle. Make the lengths of the cuts the same size around the hole. That way, you will know exactly what dimensions to cut the new drywall piece you will "fill" the hole with. Next you need to put a brace between the studs behind the hole, so you will also need a piece of 2x4. That can be a scrap if you have one around the house. Put the brace between the studs and nail it in. Put the new drywall piece you cut and place it into the hole. Use a few drywall screws to attach the new piece of drywall into the stud that you nailed in already. There is some tape you can get that's just for covering cracks in drywall. Hopefully you have cut your new drywall piece so there are only small cracks (that's what you want). Use some of that to cover the cracks, or just fill the cracks in with some plaster putty. Be sure and use a spatula type putty knife for this part. Put some of the same putty over the screws. Make everything as flat and even as you can with the putty knife. Let the putty dry. If you still have rough spots, sand them down. If you need more fill, apply some more putty. Let that dry and sand smooth. You are then ready for repainting the area if you need to.

you can do all the details as above but you don't need to nail a 2x4 from stud to stud(if you wish to you can but use screws its easier), square out the hole place a 1x4 or piece of plywood a couple inches longer than the hole on each side, use a sheet rock screw to secure it on each side of the hole (you can put a screw in the middle of the wood to hold on to) then cut a peace of rock to fit the hole and screw it in with a sheet rock screws, try not to sink the screw past the surface. Mix some drywall mud with a little water, trowel over the seam heavily then apply the tape.
Trowel off the extra mud and let dry. Add a couple more layers and sand smooth this may take a few times to complete remember drywall mud is water soluble so you can fix mistakes with a wet cloth. Home Depot sells a small spray texture fix it gun for about 10$ it works well.

hi sparkling and cut back the hollow to eliminate any folded or broken aspects, detect a bite of card somewhat bigger than the hollow tread some string by using the midsection positioned some PVA glue on it then push by using the hollow heavily and pull it into place tie the string to a dowel, pencil or some thing acceptable to hold on the same time as glue instruments wont take long. on the same time as you wait purchase a small bag of fix plaster or regardless of obtainable on your area whilst card is look after fill the hollow you ought to to do it in levels while you're no longer useful yet merely get the plaster proud initially, as quickly because it is desperate take a block of wood and a few sandpaper and sand it flat you will be waiting to realize an incredibly much invisible fix with endurance, reliable luck.
