The garbage men aren't supposed to take items like that. You need to call a dump or a junkyard to take these things away. Try the local yellow pages.

You can call a junk truck to haul them away; that costs money.
I heard you can take the junk directly to the place yourself, but they charge you a fee, too. I'm not sure which is better.
An idea I was thinking of was taking a chain saw and cutting it all up, and incorporate it very slowly into the normal trash (in the bags would be best.)

The TV set you will probably have to take it to a recycling center and then prepare to pay them to take it. With the bedroom set, bust it down into small pieces. Generally they want wooden pieces small, say less than 2 feet long. Or have a marshmallow roast.

In my area, we have to call and make arrangements for large items to be picked up. Call your local service provider and ask. the phone number is usually on the bill.

Depends on your local ordinances. Some areas require that YOU take it to the dump. Some areas will allow you to purchase a sticker that you place on the TV, then it will be taken.
Try to find your city's ordinance website for details.

look in the yellow pages under trash removal, or junk. It will cost you, though. Or just put them on the front lawn with a sign that says free.someone might find a use for them.

You may be able to schedule a "large item" pickup with your waste management company. Otherwise, you can pay someone to take them to the dump.

Take them to the local refuge tip and dispose of it yourself, or contact your council who will remove items such as sofas, refirgerators, etc for a small fee
