Pack one room at a time. Don't move on to the next room until the one you're on is done. Put trash in one place in the house. As you are packing, anything you haven't used, seen, heard, (or otherwise remembered it existed) in a year throw it away. If you haven't needed for that long, you don't need it now. Don't worry too much about organizing things now, you will have to do that anyway at your new place so don't waste time doing it twice. Hope this helps!

one room at a time, then mark every box as you go, with type of items, and room. Start in the linen closet if you have one, then closets, then bathroom, bedrooms, living room, and kitchen last leaving out only what you will need between now and moving day. Don't forget to discard anything you haven't used in more than a year. If things are in good condition, give them to a charity organization. If you get too frustrated, you could look into hiring one of those maid services to help for a day, but tell them in advance what you want them for.

I would try packing one room at a time. Put on some music make sure you have boxes, tape, bubble wrap handle and put your cell phone in the other room so you dont get distracted. I would start with maybe lil nick-nack stuff first since you really dont use them and it clears out the space and makes it look less cluttered which can make you feel more productive and you'll be more likely to pack when it doesn't look as daunting.

Hope this helps!

start with items you need the least. Pack clothes, picture frames (you can wrap the frames and other breakables in clothes), dishes, movies, cds. Just start packing one item at a time. Exampe:Take a box and fill it with movies. if there is room, add the cds. Still room? add some books. Label the box with whats inside so its easy to locate what you need.

movingpacking sucks. I can get frusturatedwith it too. Hope you find the motivation!

start by packing the least used items first, label each box so you can find things easily, I usually start with each closet, then just go from room to room, leave boxes open till ready to move in case you need to add to that box, I use linens and towels for padding for dishes and glassware, use throw pillows for padding around larger breakables also label boxes as to which room they go in so that they can be put into the correct new room at the new house

I don't have any valid packing suggestions, but I can empathize. I'm moving next month and every time I look at what I need to pack, I almost start to cry! I'm going to check back here to see if anyone provided some useful tips. : )

Don't rent U Haul until you are packed.
Have hammer and long screwdriver ready to remove hinges from small doors.
Hire an expert to carry furniture up the stairs.
Moving can be easy compared to unpacking.
