I have tried putting old pyracantha (very prickly) twigs across all known/evident routes of access, the cats merely pick their way through/across.
I have tried a couple of plants that cats are said to dislike, 'my' cats don't know they are supposed to dislike them.
I believe I have heard of so called TIGER SPRAY but I would like a user opinion before I search for it. If any cats care to answer the question...honestly, then I would be pleased to hear from them especially.

Well three of my freinds and I are moving into a house. The bedrooms are 130 sqft, 130, 110, and 100 sq ft. Two of the guys and I agree that we should draw straws, or do it completely by luck. However one of the guys is adamant on getting one of the big rooms. No matter what I try to negotiate, he won't budge. Now, changing the rent price is out of the question. Basically we would all like the big rooms, but in fairness, we want to do it by luck. How do I solve this problem?

Hi, I painted my living room with what i thought would be a light yellow satin paint. It is very very yellow and bright. Too much for any room, let alone a living room. Nope didn't test first on anything. Just kept thinking if its too light it will look like a cream and i want yellow. Wow, i got it! Anyway, i want to tone it down. I have textured plaster walls and thought maybe a cream or light brown would work if i just used a rag, sponge or flat roller, or something to put over top of the yellow. Would love to bring out the texture and let some yellow show through. Any suggestions? Thanks so much

in the midst of moving, our electric dryer got caught outside in a afternoon shower. Should the dryer be ok once it dries out or is it pretty much fried electrically?

I have a houseplant called an anthirium. I feed it plant food just about every other watering, and I let it dry out a bit between waterings. I give it indirect sunlight throughout the day and have done everything I know to take care of it, but it seems to keep getting yellow spots on some of the leaves. Does anyone know why this would be happening, or how I can stop it???

I spilled an entire jar of melted vanilla candle wax on the carpet and it's been down there for over 24 hours. How and what can I use to get it up? There is an area that the jar laid upside down and all the wax ended up in that one spot and it's solid as a rock. Please help. Can't afford new carpeting right now.

I want the overall look of the house to be welcoming and "homey".

Do I make the living space the focus by painting the garage doors a darker/muted color, separating the two areas and making the garage "retreat"

... or do I hide the garage by painting it the same color as the house, blending it into the living space?
