the pattern I am looking for was printed, I think, in the woman's day either 1979/1980. It was a ladies jacket that had a rather large shawl collar knitted in and you turned the side edges back at the front to form the pockets, lapels and also became the collar

Ok So I'm installing a window air conditioner in a hole in the wall instead of a window. There used to be another air conditioner there but it broke. So this window air conditioner is a bit smaller (about 2" on either side and an inch above) than the hole that was professional cut through the concrete and gyproc and edged in plain molding.

How do I install this air conditioner (step by step) so that it will fit in this hole, be sufficiently guarded against the cold weather and not require me to cut into the wall? Right now I have pieces of foam up against it and some weather stripping but that won't be enough and there are still gaps.

Any ideas?

How do you get rid of water weeds? The kind that grows in the ground. These weeds have a root system that is unbelievable. I have tried several weed killers, With no luck. Each year they double the area where they grow and are overtaking my lot. I am desperate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Has there ever been a lecture given at the Melbourne Athenaeum about Australian gardener Edna Walling?

Do you know where I can find clear covers (plastic or vinyl) to protect living room furniture? (The kind Marie has on "Everybody Loves Raymond") I've checked hundreds of websites and all I can find are flimsy shapeless things to protect furniture while moving.

On the same wall I have a switch and an outlet.

In the box with the switch, I have a red wire, black wires (coming from the top and bottom), white wires (top and bottom), and ground wires.

In the outlet, I have the same.

In the switch, I have the red on the top, the black on the bottom - so that when the switch is turned on to the up(on) position, it is turning on the red. Off is turned to the black wire. The black wire I have connected to the switch is the one coming from the top of the box.

In the outlet, I have both the white (neutrals) hooked up to the left side screws (silver screws), the red hooked up to the bottom right (gold) screw, the black coming from the bottom to the top right (gold) screw. The tab is gone between the two gold screws.

Problem is that power is flowing in the red wires (I can plug in a light and it will turn on and off with the switch), now that I have broken the tab, neither black wire will allow power to flow to the other outlets down the line.help
