My choice is African Violets or aka Saintpaulias... Only if you can provide them good light and minerals you can have them bloom all year long!
Highly recommend you to try

Everyone wants a plant that will bloom all year and live forever. Unfortunately there ain't no such thing.
Annuals bloom all summer but then their life is over. Perennials have a limited period of bloom but come back bigger every year.
Someone mentioned geraniums. They will continue to bloom if you bring them indoors for the winter. Best to cut them back hard in February to induce branching. They will have even more blooms when spring finally comes.

This is very dependant on what your seasons are like. In Texas there are a great deal of flowers that bloom all year round. where in canada you only have a few months to play with.

the way i can shop in ideas is~ Annuals might want to be planted each and every year Perennials come back each and every twelve months There many times some perennials in wild flower mixes. Then there is the weird and wonderful annual that drops a seed that survives the iciness & comes back that way. it is a really tremendous component you're doing
