Remember, you've got to live in it for six months

I'd have a hard pecorino shell for internal stability, and a gouda outer skin, as its elasticity will absorb significant amounts of the initial blast. For insulation, and to provide extra bast protection, it would have to be mozzarella to fill the cavity wall. Blue mould would make a lovely, soft flooring, so roquefort or gorgonzola would be ideal here.

I think that I would use Edam cos its got that kind of hard shell thing and its is the right shape after all. But then again maybe i would use blue cheese, even though its crumbly, it would get better during the six months whereas all other cheese would just go green and furry. I cant believe i put so much thought into this question! ha ha ha

I think I would use Parmesan cheese, its one of the toughest cheeses around, OK, so it stinks like hell, but I reckon after being in it for 6 months you become accustomed to the smell, you wouldn't be able to smell it after a while. When you finally come out after 6 months that would be a different matter of course, people would stay well clear of you. lol

I think I would use the smelliest cheese I could find. That way at least it wouldn't smell like **** after you **** and piss yourself after you realize a cheese bomb shelter won't be enough to save your sorry *** and you are about to die. But thats just my opinion.

I'm way ahead of you here son. We all know the Apocalypse is imminent so I've cleaned out Tesco's of Cathedral City and it's hardening in my spare room. I shall then fashion a bivouac in true Ray Mears style and emerge to take my position as King of the World.
Not sure what to eat though, sure won't be that ****.

Extra-Sharp Cheddar.

It is hard, but not brittle, so it would stand up to the shock of the intial explosion.

Plus it goes well on just about anything.

Blue Vein, so you can eat the shelter, plus it's already gone off.
