I keep hearing rumors robitussin ac is sold over the counter. I have a terrible cough and this perscription has worked for me in the past. But I have been hearing that people can just go to their pharmacist and ask for it over the counter. Is this true? It seems a bit far fetched to me.

My MIL comes over and we had some medications on the counter. She looked at them and then WROTE down the persecription. When my husband confronted her, she made pretend she wasnt doing anything. We usually keep all meds in the cabinet, but I KNOW she looks at them, I was thinking I could change the labels and write something like "backoffcyline" and when she looks at it online, she will see it is phony...Do I confront her or just keep hiding all the meds??

I take the bus and when I get off of the bus (I tend to go take a nap on the bus with my leg under me or something on my legs) My feet are so asleep that they are almost paralyzed and I can't feel a thing. Then 20 seconds later my leg has this horrible pain and I start shouting since I am having even more trouble trying to walk when this happens. This is not the last time it's happened, it's very chronic. It happens almost every day. Could it be anything bad?

I had about a 4-5 cigarette a day habit for about five years. I'm on my second day of non-smoking and I have a slight headache. I hardly smoke outside of my car so the drive home from work was difficult because I thought about stopping and picking a pack up but I didn't. Now that I'm home, things are normal.

When should I start seeing serious withdrawl symptoms?
How long do they last?
How long does it take to beat the physical nicotine addiction?

Many teenage boys and young men have hair growing between their eyebrows ("unibrows"), some thicker and more noticable than others. Is puberty to blame and will these individuals "grow out" of this to a point where the hair will stop coming back?

Besides products like Mederma, Neosporin, or Polysporin, is there another way to help reduce or prevent the appearance of scars? I had surgery done a few months ago that has left me with a two inch scar on my abdomen that I'd like to naturally minimize. I've heard from some doctor friends that there might be an antioxident shake I can make at home to help reduce scars. Anyone know of any formula or have any alternative therapies?

I recently got Acuvue Oasys contact lenses. I was wondering if I want on vacation where there was a beach or pool, would I have to remove my lenses to go swimming. If not, would I be able to dive with goggles and contact lenses on? My next question is: If I am on a road trip and decided to take a nap in the back seat, do I need to remove my contact lenses? Thanks for the help.

Is having a low BSL (blood sugar level) an indicator of anything? I tend to have them as apposed to high ones and on rare occasions it has made me feel like i am going to pass out. I know having high blood sugar is usually a sign of diabetes but does low BSL signify anything? Usually when I feel this way i just eat/drink something with sugar in it.

I am a 2nd year nursing student and the other day during a lecture, my lecturer brought up an interesting question.."Why do RN withhold schedule 8 (Drugs of Addiction) from patients who are suffering from pain?..e.g. why is that when a patient is written up for PRN morphine some nurses do not give it reguarly?"
I know that it depresses the respiratory system and etc but if a patient is written up for it shouldn't the nurse give it esp. if the pt. is in pain?..As a nurse, do you do this? Thanks for answering.
