For some reason i have been doing this and i do not know why? I've been getting to bed at 10 oclock and i have to wake up at 6 but for some reason i'm waking up at random times such as 430 and then falling back to sleep, and when i do fall back to sleep i have crazy dreams and then wake up really tired, does anyone know what i'm talking about and how to fix this?

i've done that too. it has to do with your REM (rapid eye movement) cycles. they follow patterns and repeat several times a night. during the middle of the REM cycle you're sleeping very deeply. but at the end you don't sleep as deep and there is a better chance you might wake up. so that's probably when you're waking up. then you go back to sleep and you enter into another REM cycle. since you're disturbing the REM cycle in the middle of it you might feel groggy. not to mention you're harder to wake up then since you're sleeping deeper then.

if you can do it, you might feel better if you just go ahead and get up. but i know how hard that is. i'm really bad about hitting the snooze button. i might tell myself the night before that i will get up early, but then when it comes down to it want to sleep just as long as i possibly can. ;)

Sounds like one of the forms of insomnia, "early morning wakening." The other is slow-sleep (when you have trouble falling asleep.)

Try some OTC sleep aids, or maybe go to the dr. and get some meds if you need to (though I don't recommend Rozerem, as it gave me liver damage.)

Check for info on insomnia--you may be having nightmares or night terrors, as well. Unlike the name, night terrors are generally in the morning, and are quick, very frightening episodes that generally wake you up immediately. Nightmares are usually long, detailed bad dreams that may or may not wake you up.

I've fought insomnia my whole life. It sucks, but there are things you can do to help it.

Yes, I've done that. Sometimes I would wake up groggy or headachy. You may want to actually get up when you wake. Or if it's REALLY too early, get a small drink of water then go back to bed.

Your doing some light sleeping. In order to get a good nights rest you need to go into a deep sleep. Don't eat anything after 6pm ecspecially spicy.
