The headache begins with "sparkles" and then turns into a headache. Not really a "migrane" category of pain---but the sparkles are the same. I have had true migranes a few times--maybe once a year or so. The only change I have had is that I have given up chocolate since Lent---

I have been taking it for three months now. After about three weeks I started to feel good, but now, I am starting to feel tired again and I am starting to feel depressed. I did not have depression before. Could this be caused by the medication?

I have smoked since I was 12 ( I am now 24) and have stopped smoking only once since and that was only because I was pregnant. I started again because I wasn't ready to quit ( I know that is stupid) and it was hard because my husband did and does smoke as well(he wants to stop to). As time has gone on I am more concerned with my son, who is now two, thinking that it is something ok to do when he gets older. I don't want him to start smoking and even at this age I tell him it is nasty or yucky but he sees my husband and I do it (only outside we don't smoke inside or in the car). i really want to quit but in ways I like it to much, I do know the risks health wise I take by smoking but that never seems to stop me. I just need some Ideas that have helped you or someone you know stop for good!

My younger sister in law (10 yrs old) has been having stomach pains on and off for the last year or so. We thought maybe she was getting her period and she was mistaking stomach pains for cramps. (Her mom got her period at a young age so that is why we thought maybe period, even though 10 is young for that sort of thing.) Anyways, she has been going to the Dr. for the last 3 weeks at least once a week and they can't find anything until today, my mother in law called and checked on her test results. They drew a bunch of blood work yesterday when she went. A few weeks back, one of the Dr. visits, they thought that she was maybe constipated because she did say it hurt sometimes to go #2. And so they gave her some stomach medication to settle it and soften her stool. Well, she STILL was having pains so she went again yesterday and they drew blood. My mother in law called for the results today and they said her Liver count was high. What does that mean? Any advice would be appreciated.

My grandmother just had a massive stroke and her mother had a massive stroke. I was wondering if strokes might be genetic? I'm in my early twenties. And, I was wondering if I can do anything so, I will not have a stroke in the future if strokes are genetic?

This started a few days ago, when I take a deep breath, I sometimes feel a pain in my sternum and in my right shoulder/clavicle. Most of the pain is in the clavicle though and it is especially present when laughing and sometimes with lying down or taking a deep breath. For awhile I could not even take a really deep breath but now I can.

On Saturday night/ Sunday morning I threw up from drinking too much and didn't notice any pain until about monday or tuesday so I doubt it's related but I don't know.

Does anyone know what could have happened? I'm not going to be going to a doctor as it's not enough pain to have me concerned.

Braces versus Invisalign?
My son needs to get braces. He has bucked front teeth. I was wondering about the pros and cons of braces versus Invisalign? I've never worn braces myself, so I don't know what they're like. Have any of you tried Invisalign and do they work as well as braces, in your opinion? Anyone tried them with bucked teeth? What about the cost difference? How much did you pay for your braces or Invisalign? Also, do you have to wait for all of your permanent teeth to be in before you get braces or Invisalign, or can it be done while he still has some baby teeth? (The bucked teeth are his permanent teeth, though). Thanks.

Thanks for your answers so far, I should have said that I am a care assistant, I have worked for 8 hours solid, if I had stopped for a break at all, people would have still been left in their beds not washed, fed or medications given.
Yet, I get lunch money deducted whether I manage to take a break or not. I love caring, I am not in it for money, I am only paid £6.21 pence per hour. In fact I am not interested in money at all, I work for enough money to pay bills and feed my children. I do a lot of voluntary work in the community, as I care. I never take money from anyone for helping them. But some employers just do not care.

At Denny's, there's a "seniors' menu". Aparently the only thing about it that is different from the regular menu is that the portions and prices are smaller.

You see a lot of fat people around who are younger than about 60, but most of the older people seem to be trimmer. Could it be that the fat people die younger but the slim ones survive longer? It's unhealthy to be fat.

Do old people metabolize nutrients more slowly? Are their bodies no longer in need of so many calories? Do they have the habit - formed during WW2 when food was a valuable rationed commodity - of savoring every bite and taking your time over it?

Sure marijuana is an illegal substance and so was alcohol at one point but I have never seen a bunch of stoners get heated and fight. I have been to many a night club and seen alcohol spark fights galore. Saying that marijuana is a "gateway drug" is unfounded and total crap. I wished my father smoked a J everyday instead of hitting the bottle morning, noon and night then me and my moms.
