My grandmother just had a massive stroke and her mother had a massive stroke. I was wondering if strokes might be genetic? I'm in my early twenties. And, I was wondering if I can do anything so, I will not have a stroke in the future if strokes are genetic?

people can have pre-dispositions towards a certain disease as a result of their specific genetic situation. This does not mean that you will yourself have a stroke, but that it is more likely that you will have one as compared to another person who is otherwise exaclty the same as you.

In the end, you can control other factors, like diet, exercise, etc, to minimize your risks.

Yes they do to run in the family. But remember forewarned is forearmed. Prevention is after all better than cure. If you would like to get more information in this regard visit this website http://ailments.in/stroke.html

there is a genetic risk but this doesn`t mean that if some of your ancestor have it, it will happen to you too!
it`s also connected to your life style.

Yes they are. All you can do is watch your diet and have your cholesterol checked yearly.
