you know being 4'11'' is not that bad. I am short and everyone calls me "cute" who really cares if you are tall or not-you are not a dwarf. I bet you are just the cutest little thing. I love short people.

I haven't heard of any surgery, and I am 4'10 and 31 years old. Sometimes it sucks being short, but I actually perfer it, then being average height, you tend to stand out more in a good way. Everone thinks you are cute, especially the guys, They seem to go for cute. Also by the time you get to 30 people still think you are ten years younger, just don't smoke it makes you ten years older, and you will look your age in a small body. The other thing is I play hockey so being short actually helps, because the other team tends to get more penaties off of me, because I am short.

You are shorter than average but not so short to have that type of operation. Be happy with what you are givin, it could be worse like poor health or abusive family. It is still possible to grow but if not you will more things to worry about than being 4'11"

First of all, you need to talk to your doctor about alternatives. Second, do you have the money for this? Third, do your parents know that you wish to grow taller?

There are hormone treatments that you can take to help you grow with no surgery. Talk to your doctor about how you feel.

u would have to get it done b4 like age 18 because of puberty---has to be done in puberty years

i have heard it doesn't always work and is expensive---don't think a medical plan would cover it

i also hear it really is painful and can have side effects

i would ask a doctor for all info. they have on it---just don't think it will ever make you taller than like 5'1-5'2

You may be young enough to take hormones to stimulate growth. As your doctor. The most height they can give you with that surgery is a couple inches...it's not worth it...be proud of who you are.
