Agree with what you see. Alcohol is the worst. Alochol triggers anger and people often get killed in the heat of the battle. Alcohol produces horrible hangovers in people that wind up puking and laying in bed all day. Alcohol makes you look and act like a fool. Too many promises are made under the influence of alcohol that people later regret and didnt really mean. Alcohol contributes to unsafe sex...caught up in the moment, now have STD kind of thing. Pot, on the other hand, generally gives people the munchies, nobody makes promises that anyone would believe. Pot mellows people out without ruining their livers and stomachs. People who smoke pot generally dont drive..too much effort. When they do drive, they are generaly under the speed limit. Not to many people want to take up car keys at a pot party but plenty of drunks get irate and have to leave so they take the keys and kill somebody. I have never seen a person under the influence of pot want to fight physically or strike someone. I have seen plenty of hitting and striking from drunks. We have legalized the wrong drug.

I feel for your pain due to your alcoholic father. Having been through this myself 45 years ago ... I think I understand how you feel. Not knowing how old you are ... it's difficult to give you any kind of advice but .... if you are almost 18 or 19 then I would strongly suggest that you find a way out of the house. Make your own life ... make your own decisions and learn from your father's mistakes. He would also need help dealing with his alcoholism but that would something he is responsible for himself.
You question whether smoking marijuana would cause as much damage to a relationship. All I can say about that is that I personally don't approve of the use of marijuana on a regular basis. If one uses drugs, alcohol or gambling on a daily basis ... they have an addiction problem. Addiction being the key word here. No relationship can possible do well when addiction plays such a major role in your life.
Be strong and be proud of what kind of life you create for yourself. Try never to use your father's addiction as an excuse for yourself. You're in charge of your own life, future and destiny. Make everyday count ... be kind to yourself and others and I wish you the very best of luck!

there have been no conclusive examine on no rely if or no longer marijuana kills ideas cells or has any long term harm. The tobacco he's including is greater damaging than the weed, and the two are fit than popular cigarettes that comprise a team of further chemical factors. Pot could make some human beings lazy, yet quite a few human beings who smoke additionally are efficient, it relies upon on the guy. 2-3 bowls an afternoon isn't a extensive quantity. It sounds like he in basic terms likes it to take a harm and relax. as long as he can handle all of his household initiatives it extremely is effective. If his grades start up slipping or he would not bypass to college anymore, then it extremely is a difficulty.

According to a world renowned expert in addiction medicine, tobacco is the gateway drug. There is no question that alcohol is the most damaging, dangerous drug available. It tends to incite violence and causes all sorts of physical/mental problems. it would never get past the FDA if it came on the market today and is responsible for more death and physical/mental suffering than anything else. Of course, it is also legal which means it is more available than anything else, but even allowing for that, when I lived near a football ground, it was not the addicts I feared most, but the drinkers who wreaked havoc in our neighbourhood before during and after every game, not to mention every Friday and Saturday night. Staying in with a joint is harmless next to that. I don't partake of any substances myself including tobacco, so it's pretty clear to me what the differences are, as I am impartial to them all.

Alcohol is demon drink in a relationship! The loudness, fighting, cheating, money spending, and bad decisions attributed to it aren't something that is usually found with marijuana. I would much rather be with a smoker. Well, as long as it is a "functioning" smoker that works and takes care of business. I don't smoke, but I'd rather be with someone that did if they're not boozing!
