Have your eye doctor check you out. It could be cataracts. Difficulty driving at night, especially if it involves halos around lights, is one of the classic signs of early cataracts.

I have the same problem. It's called night blindness.

Generally, people with light eyes (not always, sometimes dark eyes too) are more sensitive to lights (sun, headlights, even bright colors)
I recommend getting an eye appointment and discussing this with them. sometimes they'll recommend a transition lens or a special glare coating on the lenses to help with brightness hurting your eyes.
