For as long as I can remember I’ve had a stutter. Growing up was very difficult at times, but I got through it. I've had many ups and downs over the years, but I got through them. My speech has improved a lot and I would consider it mild at this point. I can mask it pretty well, but it comes out every now and then.

Now while my speech has improved overly the years, I still have to avoid certain situations and words that I know for certain I will block on...which is very frustrating.

I am currently 22 and will be finishing college in the next couple months and now must look for a "real" job. I have done VERY well in school with a high GPA and scholarships...I feel as if I am very smart and deserve a good job. But at the same time I constantly doubt myself because of my stuttering.

I have never taken a speech therapy course even though my parents always pushed me when I was younger. I have considered taking one now, but I am not sure how much I can benefit from.

Thanks

I've been taking Phentermine from an online pharmacy of 15 mg a day for the last month or so. My Psychiatrist scribed me 30mg Cymbalta today and I forgot to tell him about the phentermine. I left him a vcml - but he has yet to get back to me. I want to take the medication tonight like he told me to, (but did take my phentermine this morning) already.... Can I still take the Cymbalta? Will someone please clarify one or BOTH are MAOI'S???

It's a 15 minute procedure that doesn't use general anesthesia. Is there any actual reason that I need to avoid food and water for 8 hours?

I heard about an alternative to getting silicone implants (the water bags), where they basically liposuction the fat from other places on your body (if you have some spare) and put it in your breasts.......is this a real procedure? That sounds really weird....

I take around 7 vit tablets a day (Mixture of vit C, Calcium tablets etc) And I always have constipation problems or hard stools. Thought it was due to my diet. But my friend mentioned one day that taking too many vit tablets can lead to constipation problems. Is that true?

My fiance is in the middle of what seems to be a serious anxiety attack. He's never had one before. Is there something I can do for him to make him more comfortable? I know what used to help me, but every one is different. Any suggestions?

He is now 6 years old, he eats french fries, pizza snacks, yogurt and pancakes. When he was a toddler we gave him green beans and he acted like he was gagging he has been to the Dr. and they say he will outgrow it. We give him vitamins it is hard to give him lunches for school, he also eats ritz crackers once in a while, I was told to take away all of the food he likes at home and he will eventually start to eat p b and j sandwiches, etc. WHAT DO YOU THINK, we need some suggestions in anyone else has had a picky eater at home. I really don't think he will starve, thanks

I am 24 M and I am concerned over a recent physical (fasting) I had. I received my report and I had a high sodium level. My sodium was 145. What does this mean? Should I be concerned? How do I reduce these levels? Should I go back to the doctor? Below are my levels, and I included other levels to give more information if it helps:

NA 145 mmol/L
K 3. 8 mmol/L
CL 105 mmol/L
CO2 24 mEq/L
Glucose 90 mg/dL
CA 9. 7 mg/dL

Thank you. Any help would be appreciated. Hopefully I am concerned over nothing.

I have the night sweats...occasional hot flashes and screwy periods. I wouldn't say I was "depressed" just not feeling right and definitely not happy, anyone know what I can do besides go on anti-depressants?

I've been having these symptoms and am thinking either a thyroid disorder or anemia. What else could it be? I'm a 17 year old girl if that helps. I know I should just go to the doctor, but my mom wont get me an appt. unless I can find a feasible reason as to why I should go.

-Increased tiredness ( I usually get by on 6 hours a day but lately i've been needing 10-12 or else I can't function)

-Dizzyness (if I get up to fast or turn around quickly i get dizzy/ black out)

-unexplained weight gain (like I woke up a few weeks ago and couldn't fit into my pants. no changes in exersize or eating)

-gas no matter what I eat

-occasional headaches

-acne breakouts (I have a perscription for medicine to contain it, which has always worked until now)

-I can't concentrate at all my mind is always wandering.
