Can anyone tell me why I keep shivering, especially when I sit down, and I'm not even cold? I've been colder and never shivered like this before, I shiver and shudder to the point of pain in my lower back and abdomen and I can't stop no matter how I try, does anyone have an idea of what's wrong?

have you had a recent weight loss? How fast is your heart rate? If your answer is yes to the weight loss and you have a rapid pulse, have your TSH level checked. I did this exact same thing and found out i have hyperthyroidism (graves disease). It is a simple blood test. takes about 15-20 min for the results from the lab. If your levels are low then you are hyper. If the levels are high, you are hypo. Please have this checked. I also had really bad hand tremors. Just a thought. hope this helped some.

Are you nervous? Have you taken a drug or medication that is giving you the shakes? Do you have a fever?

Check all of those things and if it doesn't not stop and is causing you pain go to the doctor.

If you are not taking medications, if you are not feeling otherwise sick, it could be a neurologial problem, and in any case, you need to see a doctor.

It could be you are running a temperature, or maybe your sugar level is out of whack.
