If it does not worsen, does this mean that we are not bipolar.

Or does being bipolar stays stable even without having any meds.

I have been procrastinating taking a prescription of prozac 20mg's daily. I have a complete phobia of taking any medication. Do you think it is one of the reasons I need to be medicated. I have to work myself up to take and advil. Honestly, do I need to worry about taking Prozac side effects. I have taken sarafem in the past and had virtually no side effects. At that time it was only 10mgs will I have sever side effects. I know I sound like a big baby but I really need some convincing, I know that I need to get better but I am utterly terrified of taking any meds.

Please help!

I get bored very easily, with people and my studies,
I feel lonely, but don't enjoy talking to people,
I can't sleep very well, and am always tired.
Am I depressed?

i just found out recently that i have hypochondria. and its really bad. anytime I hear about someone got a disease on TV or Internet i think i might get it. and then i go and check symptoms for it. and i also need a doctor constant reassurances that i don't have the disease that i think i have at the time.also its like every couple weeks or i get over the fear of having that disease And i start to fear of getting another disease.is there any cure for this?

is it also true that hypochondria is connected to OCD?

I’m always alone, be it classes or anywhere. I tend to alienate myself from people, I dunno why…I really wanna change myself and be a bit more outgoing but being alone is something that comes to me from the inside. I’ve a few friends in the house I live in but none in my class. I see my other friends having a chat, a laugh and they seem so happy and I really wanna be them at that moment, having friends and a good time. Even my lecturers have pointed out that I try to isolate myself….what do I do?...I really wanna change but I can’t seem to be able to. Do you reckon counselling is gonna help. Any advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks

I know that the typical answer will be that i am an alcoholic, but.......i can go weeks sometimes months without. but there are some days that i wake up and i just want to drink. I have had a troubled past and a D.U.I., but even though i know that i need to stop drinking to eliminate the possible consequences...I can't. I know that if i don't ''settle down'' it will get me into trouble but it seems to me that something comes over me and i just need to drink. The sad part is that after i drink (various amounts) i feel ''better'' and i know it's not right. The saying goes ''mind over matter'' but in this case, to me, it seems to be matter over mind. On the way to the store for booze, I know what i am doing is not right, but for some reason i must continue. Last but not least, when a person asks me ''what makes you happy''.....I think...a bottle of vodka. some people laugh but it is no joke. I weigh 150 lbs. and I have been picked up with a BAC of 2.13 and don't even feel drunk.pleasehelp

I was recently hospiltalized for suicidal thoughts, severe depression, and extreme anxiety in public. I've always had these diseases but they worsended when I tried to take Wellbutrin to control it. The psychiatrist I seen basically told me I have borderline personality disorder, bipolar, ADHD, and OCD. Well he did not exactly say this but I told him that I was diagnosed with ADHA when I was 16 (i'm 26 now) and told him I would feel more controlled if I were on Adderrol again. He also prescribed me Prozac for my depression and my 'OCD' as he put it. And finally I was prescribed Klonopin for my severe anxiety and insomnia. He had me fill out forms for the boderline and bipolar and I had every symptom of those as well. The medication is helping except the klonopin makes me sleepy and he wants me to take on after breakfast. My question: have you ever hear of or know anyone taking this combo of drugs and is it possible for one to have all the disorders mentioned previously? Any advice?

I am looking for a list of names of people who are bi-polar who were successful achievers beside having this illness. Perhaps people who considered it a plus factor in their achievements.
