Who told you you had an abnormally low IQ?
I really think those kinds of tests don't test the full range of skills we all possess and don't beleive that there are those deemed more 'cleverer' because they pass the tests. As for being 'abnormal' - this is a terrible thing to label yourself and is not true.
Some people are spatial in awareness wherease others are more left -dominant in brian function. It is no reflection of how clever some one is. It is do with what side of the brain we use the most and the sides we use the least, so some will be good mathematically wherase they may not be very naturally creative, so there is no such thing as a 'multi-genious' person no matter what these tests try to set out as they don't test both sides of the brain sufficiently.
Also, a lot has to do with the time and attention we were given as children on how well we perform as adults in certain IQ tests and there are many IQ tests out there - not just one type! - so you may have taken just one of many tests. Some are designed to test 'spatial-awareness' and some are designed to test right or even left dominant brain functioning. But what is important to know is that these tests are often made complex and some people are just guessing an answer and luckily, by chance, get the questions right.
Not even I would come out top in an IQ test and yet I have at least two degree's under my belt from university, so there must be something smart about me! - If we are told that we are not clever and all other negative things from these tests, then we will start to beleive these things and yet, we all have unique talents and abilities and you can prove to yourself that you are clever without taking these nonsense tests.
They are designed to make people feel stupid! - but in fact, we are all capable and intelligent in our own ways and just because somone will understand the dimmesnions of a square, doesn't mean that they are 'emotionally' intelligent people. Intelligence is to do with your experiences that form your knowledge, no tests exist that can test emotional awareness and this is more important than mere knowledge.
If you can do some 'tickle' tests on the tickle website, you will soon start to feel much better about yourself because they are fun and quite creative.
But honestly, you are certainly not 'abnormal' in anything and if there was such as thing as 'normal' all of us would like to to know what it is! - the majority of the world population are iliterate and many cannot read nor write - just look at many of the questions posted on this site - these people cannot spell or use syntax or even form coherent sentences!. So, I really don't think you have anything to worry about at all.
What is important is that you are good enough no matter what any test will tell you and they are often pass or fail so there is no room for you to contribute what you do know. Believing in yourself is the most important thing and what you can do.
If you are a paul Mkenna fan, read his book on being 'confident' as that will soon make you feel a whole lot better. We perform better in everything we set our mind to do the more we beleive in ourselves and our abilities, so now it is time to get back your confidence that awful test has come out making you feel. We are all good at something and often we don't realize it and let fear stand in the way of being a success at something.
You can cope with this because the fact is, is that you are not abnormally low in anything - you need to change this negative label and tell yourself you are good at lots of things and no test exists that will prove just how smart you are in many areas of your life. What test exists that is going to measure your knowledge on self-awareness? - there isn't one.
Start writing down some really great things about yourself in a little diary and look at these things when you start to feel down, it will also put things into perspective a lot more. No one is born a wizard and if we were, we would all be in high-paid careers and many of us are not. Start getting back some confidence and beleive in yourself and do the things that you know that you are better at than other things, this will instantly make you feel a whole lot better.

Having a high intelligence quotient has alot to do with the conditioning of your brain, and your surroundings. Obviously it is how you interpret information and such, but it mostly has to do with the neuro-net inside your brain, which is its "conditioning" over a period of time.
There are programs that will actually help you to increase the level of your IQ if this would actually make you feel any better. They develop you mentally.

First of all most IQ tests are bogus and even if you find one that is supposidly good , forget about it! You were intelligent enough to write about it hear, intelligent enough to use a computer and I am sure intelligent enough for a numerous amount of things. Labeling people for what ever reason stinks, you need to get past what someone told you and get on with your life. I was told in high school not to bother going to college because I was too stupid, well guess what, 10 years later I did go and I graduated with high honors. IQ tests are useless and you don't get better jobs or more money because you scored higher on them. You can't take your results to your boss and expect a pay raise. Again, they are useless in todays society, in my opinion!

Read. And read some more. What ever area you feel "ignorant" in, get books and read a lot. Also, you can look into taking classes, perhaps at a local area school. I know in our area, the schools have what they call "Community School" where at night they offer different types of classes for people and the are very inexpensive! Good luck!

That was a well put together sentence for someone with a low IQ. Who told you you have a low IQ?
IQ tests don't test for all the types of intelligence.
