Many ways...But it has been known to make the girl have a difficault time with trust and comitment issues...especially with the gender of the one who did the abusing. They sometimes assume that everyone wants to take advantage of them. If you are a victim, get help and expose the culprit!

It could. How old was the child when it happened and did she get counseling afterword? Some people never have a problem and then some do. Talk to her family Dr perhaps or a Therapist. Sometimes children will just forget and re bringing it up can then lead to problems. Be vigilant and watch her for any display of sadness, fear etc and act on it. Turn in the person.

Well, it can lead to many things....with contrasting results. Some since have had the strong sexual experience(bad experience that is) become anti-social, they tend to think that every guy is a pervert. This leads to things like psychotic behaviour, lesbianism, and many more diverse personality disorders.
Also, some girls might get trapped in the "sexual holocaust" thus unable to escape it mentally; they give in both mentally and physically... this leading to most of them becoming prostitutes, or porno actors...
Anyway if need more info do look it up on yahoo.
Hope my ans helps... Good Luck!

Childhood sexual abuse, and any abuse for that matter, creates lifelong issues. Low self esteem, ignoring one's own needs, fear, depression and substance abuse are among the problems. Without help from a trained mental help professional, the abused person will usually continue to make bad choice after bad choice when it comes to partners in relationships. We tend to recreate the relationship we know best. If abuse was that early relationships, unconsciously the person will pick people who will abuse them in some way, affirm their LOW self-mage and be unavailable emotionally.

It's going to affect your relationships with the opposite sex in terms of trust- unless your attacker was the same sex. It may also affect your sexual preference. I know it's obvious, but you should talk to someone who specializes in this. I'm a psychologist, but this is not my specialty, and we are not in person. It will be worth it.

As I told you 20 minutes ago, this question is too complex to be answered here. If you, or someone you care for, has been the victim of this horrible crime (I have), please seek proffessional help. It affects different people different ways. If you are not happy with the proffessional help you are getting, try someone else until you are happy. Good luck to you, your friend, or family member, who ever it happens to be.
